Canon has a range of Wireless File Transmitter (WFT) units that can be fitted to many of its professional and semi-professional EOS DSLR cameras. These WFT units provide standard network wired or WiFi connections that allow a camera and remote computer to communicate and transfer images. Brian Worley gives an overview of the Canon wireless system, network compatibility, and the best use of the communication modes within the Canon system.

A good in depth review of the latest in wireless connectivity for your Canon DSLR - very useful for studio work and remote triggering/control.

I'll be very shocked if the next range of pro level gear doesn't have this sort of thing built in ... It really should be standard by now .. I'm typing this on a wifi iPhone ... If this can do it cameras should ...
As we have talked about in other threads, wifi to smart phones with camera control apps should be very much on the horizon I think!
