Gourd..geous morning

Drove out into the sticks this morning with SWMBO - to the Welburn Gourd Farm at Fallbrook.

SWMBO does gourd art - and we just happen to have a huge gourd farm within an hours drive - what joy!

Any way, decided to take the camera to help pass the time while the gourd shopping was going on... in 95 degree heat!

I now feel so in touch with nature, it's uncanny....

Do I dare ask what gourd art is? I'm assuming carving things into the face of gourds and then drying them. A square crop would look good on that second shot Chris!

Will probably be setting up the light tent today, so that SWMBO can photograph her Gourds - will post the results if/when she gets around to doing it (i.e. I'm not taking the pictures for her!)

Is SWMBO American? If so you could teach her the wonders of conkers but as your in the states you'll have to do it bigger with her gourds!
