Susan went all out, giving me all my birthday and Christmas presents for the next ten years in one - seriously, nothing but a card from now on. But I couldn't be more pleased.

It's a Gibson BB King 65th Anniversary guitar. Read all about it here. Looks like I'll be playing the blues with a broad smile

Looking forward to some blues out of that particular axe when it gets in your hands, Rob. But the strange thought occurs,...what about some trad Scottish music out of it,...how might that sound? Or something 18th Century written for the lute?

Ha. I've got instruments for those already, Brian. Lots of people ask me to do crossovers, but it rarely sounds good, in my experience. Each instrument just gets you into a mindset, or emotional mood, and its hard for other moods or techniques to work as well. If it did work well, there would be a good argument for having have just one instrument - and I couldn't tolerate that!!!
