Hello from Boston, MA ... USA

Hello everyone. I have been cruising here for a while and am finally getting around to posting. My 40 years in and working for the US Navy brought me all over the world...so this forum and it's world wide members really interest me.

We moved to Boston from Newport, RI after my wife took a new job here...and the long commute helped me to decide to retire. Retirement has allowed me to spend more time with a life long love of photography and get me out and about this interesting city. So far...this retirement thing has worked out just fine.

I have recently dabbled in putting up some of my pics at www.glennclabo.com
As you may be able to see...I have the attention span of a knat...so I'm a rather eclectic shooter.

I look forward to learning through future exchanges.

Welcome to RPF Glenn. I'm sure you will enjoy this place. I saw your name on the 'who's online' section and was actually just looking at some of your images. I especially taken with the lighthouse and lad with the ship in Foggy Visions. Looking forward to seeing more. :)

Hi Glen, and welcome to the forum. Great to have you here. Love the blues in your harbour shots - really BLUE  Gorgeous.

Looking forward to your contributions here.

Rob

Welcome in :D mirroring the comments above, your portfolio looks amazing :)

Welcome Glenn - good to see another member from this side of the pond! :)

Loving your changing sky shots - amazing colors

Looking forward to seeing more, and having you in the mix on RPF

Thank you Pete...but I must tell you ...the "lad" is actually my lady. ;) It was taken in Newport, RI.
The lighthouse is in a little Nova Scotia town called Pugwash. A family cottage away from everything.

Thanks Rob...I'm very lucking to see the harbor from my windows. It's amazing how light changes so quickly. Right now...it's foggy and grey...

Thank you Beth...I actually live in the "Boston" now Charlestown Navy Yard. They have done an amazing job of refurbishment of the old buildings and keeping the old...while making it new. The advantage for me is I'm within a few minutes walk to downtown Boston...while living in a rather quiet area.
