My eldest of two daughters Jenny has been away for nearly a year in Auckland . Quite a Trip, lots of working and also traveling throughout both north and south islands of New Zealand. A stop of in Thailand for a few weeks on the way home.

Lovely easygoing and homely feel to this very relaxed pose. Love how she stole the daisy and placed it behind the ear.
Travel is just wonderful and she will learn so much without even noticing it; my three girls are divils for it and they have taken us to parts of the world my wife or I would never have contemplated on our own.

Really nice Julian - the Merrill does a great job on portraits

Yes Tom I thought that about the daisy. The travel, it was India prior to New Zealand and next on the agenda is apparently China. I appreciate the joy of such different cultures when I was younger and would always recommend it. .

Julian, you must be very proud and delighted to have such a lovely daughter.
Pat indeed I am very proud of both my daughters. It has been very strange and hard when the youngest went to University last September and to be on my own it was very hard to adjust. But to see them spread their wings and to be independent has been the goal all along, so for that I am very grateful, they have achieved that..

I have to go along with both Pat and Brian, actually the whole lot above.:) Need I say more. No except enjoy their companionship as long as you can. That wasn't actually needed:D

Looking toned and relaxed Julian and what a good pose. A lovely portrait.
Thank you Pete, the pose was as simple as it happened, my only input was to use the empty door way. There were a few more of course as there always seem to be with me. Eyes shut is one that is most common. ,
