Looks like some pretty hefty savings there!
whats the best way to to find out what the items are ... Im sorry to say, much of it goes a little over my head!

Best way is to go to the hotpress website as they have all the details there on what does what.It depends on how you want to present your photographs as to which way to go, my good friend Steve Goodall is the best man to talk to regards this, I think he may be going to do a little article on mounting for the site in the future.

That would be very useful ... Steve, if you read this, i'd really encourage that!
I have a couple of prints that im struggling to work out what to do with!

ust a point to add ... in this world of digital images where we seemingly less often print our photos (im the worst for it) Id like to encourage more of a printing way of thinking around these parts ... If your up for helping things along in that respect id very much (as i said) encourage it!

I am all for getting photographers to print their images as that is realy what it is all about, not many people realy take a laptop or Ipad into the pub do they ?? There is something about having an image in your hand or better hanging on a wall to admire & you can think I DID THAT !
We will have to get a workshop going on printing & mounting maybe sometime in the future/ next year???
See what people on here think, is it something they might be interested in ? We could even get film/darkroom work in to it as that is all part & parcel of presentation to.
Got me going now & getting carried away, after all if you have been in a dark room & watched an image appear it is magical, if you have not then you realy need to have a go, you do not know what you are missing.

I'd be interested in finding out more about mounting and framing...I keep seeing local photographers in markets and street stalls around Bristol, selling their work and would love to do the same if I can present them properly, (and cheaply...!).

Yes Yes Yes!
Lets keep this idea alive ...
Im getting back into film ... i can see me wanting to take it all further!

Well the ball is rolling now, we will have to get heads together & see what we can do to get it in motion, I think Steve will be up for anything we come up with as I realy miss the old days of passing 6 x 4 prints round just not the same these days :(
We could sart a poll to see what interest there is in say a workshop day ??

I suppose it could be set up anywhere realy, I can put out feelers as I do know of a place in the Warwickshire area that might be able to get involved as well though realisticly it could be done in any room with power, it would be down to where the majority of people interested in attending come from.
A pub sounds good LOL

A pub always sounds good :D I'm intersted.................

.............and not just because 'Pub' was mentioned :D :D :D

Will have to get on to Steve then for next year, I think it could be a good day for everyone & I am keen to get it rolling out as I do miss prints & presentation these days.

Had word from Steve @ Hotpress & he is keen to do a day with us on mounting/presentation, we just need to establish numbers as to the best route to go down, if it is of interest to members can you let us know on this thread or contact Hamish & we can start to get dates & formats set up.Steve was thing of say 3 sessions for approx 90mins each to allow for more people and to suit times for everyone, let us know what you think, it could be one of the first RPF demo days ??
Cheers
Andy
