How to post photos?

I just tried to post 2 photos. First copy-paste the BB code but just got an icon that means broken files with big red X. Then direct upload but the photos are very small, the post is called "couple in a sunset" in the people forum.
Help appreciated.

Saw your two photos Chaba. They're two fine silhouettes! Nicely done.

Not sure what to tell you about your uploading of the BB codes. It works fine for me uploading from my photo hosting site (Zenfolio) or from Flickr. Maybe someone more technical can weigh in.
