Thanks Pete. I struggle with the 50mm focal length for such images on the harbour. The 28mm is much more suited.Wonderful stuff, Julian. Especially the second. The softness from the rain and the shimmer of the water are just superb. Love the framing too.
Thanks Martin. I preferred the first image if only one was chosen, but thought the second worked by having a link with the first. Now I really like these Julian 2 great captures think I prefer the first but both are excellent
I have to agree to what you say here yourself Julian and a wonderful set it is. If everything else falls into place, go for the fuji x100s, I bet you, you won't regret it. If on the contrary, you would not lose anything if you choose to sell it again. I believe that you would possibly use that one 90 % of the time. Thanks Martin. Thanks Rob. My brain certainly hurts when I need to make decisions and often give up.Fine shots, Julian. I can't make my mind up which I prefer, so I won't bother making a decision.
I've noticed the x100s is going really cheap these days. Worth the asking price, I'd say.
Thanks Ivar. I'll bare that in mind. On the other hand I could wait another year and get one even cheaper. But this one is Mint which draws me to it and knowing the small shop seller it will be like new .I have to agree to what you say here yourself Julian and a wonderful set it is. What are you waiting for? It's better to regret what you've done and later correct it, than regret what you did not do. If you do not try, how are you to learn? Thanks Ivar. I'll bare that in mind. Lol so you have more camera's on their wayWhat are you waiting for? It's better to regret what you've done and later correct it, than regret what you did not do. If you do not try, how are you to learn?
As in compassion! But honestly and unlike them buggars holding onto old stuff, no one mentioned, no one forgotten I have sold everything. I only have now, xt1 and xe2, that's it! And I am wonderfully relaxed by that. His sense : camera ratio needs balancing. He's far too sensible it seems!

Well, you let it go, so now repent I on the other hand returned the xe2. Viewfinder not up to my demands. Shall have a new xt10 as replacement.http://swoptics.co.uk/?4312 still there
That's usually true, but not always. I can think of a couple of situations where it doesn't hold true - jumping off the Golden Gate bridge or asking the wrong woman to be your wife. In the first case, your regret ends when you go splat. In the second, the regret never ends....It's better to regret what you've done and later correct it, than regret what you did not do. If you do not try, how are you to learn?
I remember what regret feels like and have no reason to consciously remind myselfWhat are you waiting for? It's better to regret what you've done and later correct it, than regret what you did not do. If you do not try, how are you to learn?
Thanks John. I've shot quite a few or at least converted the raw files to B+W from the Oly. I shoot a swimming event with the small E-M5 as often as life allows and many of the subjects prefer the B+W versions. Some here on FlickrReally like these shots. Haven't really seen all that many b&w shots from the Olympus E-M5. The exposure on that second photo is near perfect.
Thank you Julian, I have done my research and yes the viewfinder on the xt10 is identical to xt1 albeit a bit smaller. Actually xt10 is identical to xt1 except the wr. I should be happy. And today the fujinon 55-200mm has a leap year sale which brings it down to 470 £ equivalent. I need that too and then I have completed my fuji goals. Two cameras and three lenses, - so far well did you go for the x100s?I remember what regret feels like and have no reason to consciously remind myself
I do hope the XT10 satisfies and becomes an enjoyment to use I am sure the thingy's you look through work well on that particular camera's or I have been told so.
