Interesting lens idea - kogeto dot 360

Hi all,

I was just having a look around at lenses (just delaying the inevitable purchase of a 35mm f1.8g) and saw an interesting lens design for a wide angle image.

Its basically an iPhone accessory that clips onto the camera and allows a full 360 degree image (or video) to be taken at the same time. Instead of using the camera in an upright fashion its shot laying down:

I don't actually own any Apple products (and never will), however I just wanted to flag it up as a pretty cool design for a 360 image, something like this could probably easily be created to be screwed onto a filter ring or something on a lens giving a full 360 degree image.

Its already been scaled up to a large size for 360 videos:

I vaguely remember seeing something like that years ago. It is also similar to the way they used to create those 'hidden' images on record labels that were revealed when you stood a shiny cylinder on them.
