Ha! Thanks Rob.

Been there for many many years these have.
This was taken about 2 years ago. I'm standing in the edge of a quarry edge drop (which is where the cars deported from I guess)

Very eiry place. It's called Shavers End quarry which is near a place called Abberley.
I've spent a lot of time around disused quarries around Worcestershire & Gloucestershire.... There's something about them.
And as per usual, I get up to things that would make my wife **** kittens if she ever found out. Lol

Mmmhh, maybe they did! :)

That's a great shot, compo wise, it's very good indeed I think.
I do like the way the cars have gone the same colour as the bank too ...

Nice DD. have you got a certain bike in there too :D:D

Hmm DD and quaries not theres a recipe for disaster lol :D

I bet a bike could pick up quite a bit speed on those slopes! ;)

Many years ago one of my former work colleagues told me a great story about a fishing trip to a local disused gravel pit / quarry. He'd spent all day sitting in the drizzle at the side of the water and hadn't caught a thing. Fed up, he decided to head for home and packed up his gear and climbed back up the muddy slope of the pit to his bicycle that he'd left at the top. After stowing his year he sat astride his bike and was about to set off when he noticed that his boots were caked in mud. So he sat at the top, astride his bike, facing the pit and scraped the mud from his boots on the grass. Unfortunately, he was a bit too vigorous and managed to push himself over the edge. He grabbed his brakes and dug his heals in in panic but to no avail and down the slope he shot and into the water. When he burst back through the surface into the air, the first thing he heard was a huge cheer from all the other anglers lining the. Humiliated, wet and very muddy, he dragged his bike out of the water and up the bank and set off for home. He rode, soaking wet through the town back to his house and to add the his misery and humiliation was shocked to see people pointing at him in the street and laughing openly. One he peddled getter more and more cross, feeling everyone had heard about his face and were ridiculing him. When he got home he got off his bike and prepared to tae it around the back of house to clean it. There on the back of his bike hung a massive piece of water weed about 20 feet long which he'd been trailing behind him as he cycled through town - that's what they'd all been laughing at. :)

I can't believe I've sat on this shot for a couple of years and never really appreciated it until now.
