I've Lost The Plot

Lesley Jones

Otherwise know as Zooey
My husband is going to kill me. With apologies to Paul, I really wasn't trying to copy. In fact, we were rushing to get the animals finished early yesterday evening. I had to go into the utility room to get some clean towels for our very elderly cat - you don't really want to know why...

I've always loved the light coming through the window at that time of day, but yesterday I just stood. And thought it would make a nice photograph. I told myself not to be so silly and carried on. By the time I had Flossy installed on a nice, clean bed, I had decided not to waste the light and I grabbed the camera.

My husband is still going to kill me...

Cheers Pete! Actually... two years ago I couldn't have taken this. Whoever extended the bathroom and utility room over the very large cellar, did so using chipboard. Many washing machine leaks later and things were decidedly dodgy. My husband redid the floors while I was in the Dales for three days. He wasn't finished when I got back. Going to the bathroom in the middle of the night literally meant walking the plank while carrying a torch. Putting the cast iron bath back between us was interesting too... :)

Lesley - didn't know you also did extreme ironing - very cool! ;)

I think it's good that people's work on the forum then encourages us all to view things differently, and take that photo we might have passed over before

Great idea and lovely light

The ferrets have a Pooh Bear child's sleep sac amongst other things. Actually, that reminds me. They had a Peppa Pig one for alternate weeks, but it wasn't fleece and they trashed it before the end of the first week. I have to look for another one made of fleece. I like fleece. It doesn't need ironing :)

That's a GREAT shot, Lesley! I love shots like that. It really does give an insight into lives being lived. And it has a stillness which is beautiful. No wonder you were stopped in your tracks by the light. More like it, please!
