There's quite a story behind this image. Taken in Wistman's Wood as I was on the point of leaving. It was too much of a struggle trying to stay upright on all the boulders and I still had Saddle Tor to do. I turned around for one last look and saw a familiar face. Now when I was a child, my first ever toy was a yellow plastic baby elephant called Jumbo. He's still in the cabinet behind me as I type, but I swear his double was in those woods.
I have since prepared a blog post and doing some more research, I found that a little dog had been bitten by an adder here and died. Some people say you can hear his cries echoing along the valley. And the name of this little dog was...
