tonight's adventure at the beach. this structure used to be covered with large rocks, but those have long been removed. the drainage pipe it holds in place is supposed to carry storm water from the beach town to the ocean. the pipe itself is barely visible in the second photo.

Love the motion you captured in #2 Beth

Crackers the both of them, Beth. Noticed the first on Flickr but didn't know it was you. Very nicely done indeed. The first has an infinity look about it and the 2nd is a smashing example water in motion, as Chris suggested. Cool stuff!

I like these a lot. Pipes or jetties going out into milky water has become a overused cliche among photographers, I think, but these two are way more interesting than the average. Definitely. Both comps are spot on, and the B&W treatment is perfect. Well done, Beth.

Perfect B/W work in my book Beth. The two posts in the foreground of the first image takes it to a different level. Other features like the next part of the structure being submerged in sand before we carry on to the main structure; really excellent.
The meeting of the water and the sand, with a nice little curve, is well placed in the middle of the frame and it is nice that the volume of texture in the sand equals that in the water.
In the second image I like how the soft water swings around the structure. Very easy on the eye both of these Beth.
