Komical Kevs project 366

Thanks Pete, I have to venture out sometime, the Dawgs will want to go and I am coaching tonight but I'm sat here in front of the window and the idea is starring me in the face....it was the spray that convinced me I think, hope it stays sunny for you over there, it's pretty damned miserable here atm...

The Mitre Oak..

This is the oak that put the Royal in all oaks...in 1651 King Charles fled Worcester after the Battle of Worcester with Oly Cromwell..he, Charley boy made his way north, there was a £1000 bounty on his head, after stopping at a pub, as one does, in Ombersley he split up from his party, this never happens in really life of course, DD!! and hid in this very Oak Tree avoiding capture and a certain right telling orf. before making his way further north then onto Frogland...

Anyway as I was passing today I thought it deserved a quick visit..

Although I have past this Church on many occasions I've never stopped at it, Definitely on the to visit list....a 12th Century Nave with Medieval chapel, could be some interesting architecture in there me thinks...

Nice one Kev!
