Latest attack of GAS.

Talking about GAS Gary, I was struck down again recently after discussing German leaf shutter SLRs with Bob Janes. He has just come by a Contaflex and they have been on my list for some time along with the Paxette Reflex, the Retina Reflex and this, the Bessamatic, something I have been wanting to try. Quite by chance, this came up in a local dealer's internet"window" at a fairly reasonable price. I expected it to be well up to Voigtländer's usual standard and it is too. I have also come upon an adapter to be able to use the lens on a Nikon F mount so looking forward to trying that when it arrives. The lenses don't have an aperture adjustment ring, the adjustment being done from the body through an internal connection in the lens mount.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one... :)

I have several Voigtländer cameras and one or two Voigtländer lenses.

I still have some shots left on the FP4+ in the VITO CLR and I'm going to pick up another roll of FP4+ so I can finish my shoot off with the Retinette 1B. I'm pretty sure there is no issue with the winding on the Retinette. After I did this, I ran the exposed film back into the camera and had no issues with it winding.

That's a tangle. I had a problem recently reloading a part used film into my Canon 7 but not like this. I decided mine was something to do with the rewind mechanism. It almost looks as though the film somehow went round the cog wheel.
Every so often I get a pang of conscience and sell off a few things which usually means I have a bit of extra cash and it all starts over. Hey ho.

That was how I ended up with the Rolleiflex 3.5B. I sold a mFT lens that I had sitting in a drawer. It started out as my lens for shooting birds but once I switched to the OM-1 with the 300/4 I never used the 100-400 again. It financed the Rollei.

Both cameras very nice, gents. I have the slightly basic Vito C with the f2.8 Skopar. A beautifully made camera that still works well. Mm, that g.a.s thingy is both a blessing and a curse lol.
