I'm pleased the exhibition was crap Darren or we might not have gotten these nice interior shots! I like the softness of the last one and having the people in the shots works well. Hand-held I guess.
Ha, you shouldn't be so modest mate ... That first one, and this is a compliment I don't bestow on many, reminds me of Cartier-Bresson... I've said this before, but this is one of my favourite photos
Simple yet elegant with wonderful lines ... It's this sort of compo that I aspire to ...
Your photo (in terms of compo) holds a similar fascination for me...
Wow, thanks Hamish! Cartier-Bresson is one of my heros, so that really does mean a lot to me. I hadn't thought about that photo when I took mine, but perhaps it influenced me, sub-consciously.
Thank you, Chris! I always do the same thing at the Getty. For me, the architecture is a lot more interesting than the art there.
I think it's hard not to be influenced by that sort of thing ... The amount of times I think "this would look nice with a silhoutee figure in it" or "if only there was a man cycling past on a bile right now this would look a lot better"
Almost every time I pick up a camera! I blame that on Bresson!
