Lichens of Dunkeld

So, what did we do for our 23rd wedding anniversary? Go on a lichen field trip, of course! Doesn't everybody?

Dunkeld in Perthshire, one of my favourite places. All phone shots here. I did take three 120 films, but they'll be off to the lab for a week or two.

Wonderful set and love the 'portraits' of Susan!

I do like lichens and somewhere I have a loads of photographs of them on ancient monuments in Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Greece that were taken as part of a project I was working on a few years back. They were mainly taken to support the identifications done.

I should take some picture in our local graveyard - there's a good crop there although I have never really looked to see what the diversity is right. Hmm, maybe a short project is in order!

Indeed. I'd like to map one tree over 100 years, but I might not live that long...but Rhona could carry on my work!
