Light Leaks?

I'm trying out some new effects for my final piece in art for college and I'm pretty interested in doing 'light leaks'. Anyone know how to do this on Photoshop? I don't have photoshop myself but Dad does..

never heard of that one Emma, can you tell us a little more about what it actually is please

I am indeed!
It's just simply where the film has been exposed to light and it creates a shadow on the film (if film)

i only ever seen 1 film before and that is the one i have used for the forum challenge, so not a clue what your on about haha

Couldn't you find anything more specific Pete! :D

Emma - here's a couple of real light leaks I had with an old 70's film camera - the film door at the back of the camera had a leaking seal at one end, and let in light when you flexed it during use.

Cheers Pete!
And yup, that's literally what I want! Quite unusual to want that as you usually try to prevent it but I think it gives a certain character to the photos :)
