Oops, I've let this thread slip a bit!
Thanks for the tip Pete, however, I don't own a copy of Lightroom and wouldn't know what to do with it if I did.
This was a horrible wet, dull and miserable day but just every once in a while, there were breaks in the cloud to reveal extremely bright and low sun. It's the first time I've ever knowingly pushed the shutter speed of my Canon to its limit of 1/8000th of a second - I could have done with a bit more really! Because I was wearing a hat, I didn't actually realise that it was raining when I took the shot and didn't find out until I looked at it later back at home.
