LOST GARDENS

Thank you Pete and Rob I am more than a little taken aback with the positive's written. It encourages me a lot and when I grow up maybe I can be a photographer.

Thanks.

Lovely set with beautiful colours, Julian.
2nd and 4th frames are my favourites. :)

Very magical - reminds me a lot of Velvia Julian

Thanks Nihat and Brian.

Chris I know what you mean it does to me also. It is a look I like for some subjects. I can get it with the canon lenses quite easily on the 70-200 f4. The Oly 75mm f1.8 has very similar characteristics regarding colour.
I can replicate it on very bright days and metering for the highlights. This as with these is often minus 2 to 3 exposure and cannot be achieved by relying on the in camera meter. I dont need much post processing other than sometimes burning yet again. Thanks for the kind comments.

Interesting comments regarding metering and look.

I picked up my Canon yesterday in preparation for a wedding shoot this weekend, and did a few test shots outside.

I was immediately struck by the difference between Canon and Fuji metering - and the resulting difference in image look.

I'll maybe comment more when I get the wedding done - I plan to have Fuji and Canon shots so it'll be interesting to se how the final images differ in look and feel.

It will be interesting on your take of the two systems.
