Making the most of poor light

I can't always rely on the light being just as I would want it to be, so I look upon these two a studies for when it is.
Susan's study, and Susan drawing...a touch of Vermeer/Hammershøi in the last image (well, one can dream).

The soft light works just fine. A brighter light would bring out the lines and angles more, but the soft light makes it look warm and cosy.

Ha, not quite a mansion, just a two-bedroom flat above a hairdresser's. But those Leica lenses make you feel you live in a mansion
