I like it, Brian. Compelling stories.. The dog is on a higher ground, almost giving instructions to his master (or friend). Perhaps, the man says " do you understand the risks of being up there", and the dog shakes his head in agreement.

Fantastic shot Brian. My dogs are wondering why we are still here in Texas.
The dog is clearly letting the skeptical (and wrong) man know that his is not adopting the correct position of fealty towards the superior species.
Or this being Hollywood, dog is saying: "The first 34 takes were interesting in a way, however I would like to see a bit less over acting on take 35."

You must be using the front screen projection technique Kubrick used on 2001. Very convincing!!!! Next time could you maybe get Diane Lane or Marion Cotillard?

What an interesting photo Brian. Wondering how and why and no need to ask what for though. A certain dog head movement reflects to another's photo;s posted here on RPF.

Thanks a lot, Julian. That's not Sadie, though. I had a few minutes to spare one night and so I went up on Signal Hill and took a few shots. The fellow in this picture was there with his dog. It was sitting or standing at one time or another on each of the plinths. It just liked going up on them. I tried to get a shot or two but just when I would have my XA3 ready the dog would get down and move to another plinth. Finally I just asked the fellow if he'd mind having the dog stand there a moment while I snapped a picture. I offered to send him a copy if the picture were it to turn out OK and he liked this idea. But neither of us had pen and paper handy to exchange E-mails so it never happened. I regret that, though. If I were him I'd want this picture as a memory.
