Critique Welcomed McKenzie Pass, central Oregon, US

Some captures from subject area. Not being from the western US, the northwest, Oregon in particular, never disappoint me with the many magnificent vistas. These are from the area of The Three Sisters, three volcanic cones in south central Oregon. The town of Sisters, lies close by as is also Bend, OR. To me the scope of the lava fields is mind boggling - how trivial and insignificant we are in the face of the forces of nature.

These are stunning views, Bob, well captured. I'm intrigued by the third. Is that a shelter built out of the surrounding volcanic rocks? It looks amazing. And can you get inside it?

Yes, and the size is much lager than you might think given the photograph. Several from the observation deck interior and exterior.

What an amazing landscape and I like the way you have sequenced the shots to take you in and out of it. The feeling of the scale of the boulder field really comes across.

Thanks Pete,

Landscapes always baffle me in attempting to convey a sense of being there as opposed to ho-hum post card images.
