Metal Ends

Glad I'm not label man!! otherwise I like the detail Hamish, but a proppa engineer wouldn't need all that labeling they'd stick their hand on it straight away......being an old school metal man that is.;-)

Very nice Hamish - I like the way you've got in close with a wide angle lens, and got a nice perspective on the rods

I also like the blend of blue and yellow labels

Nice!! i just wish my department labelled as well as that

Now that I really like Hamish. I love this sort of almost overwhelming detail. :)

the comp. is a mixture of order and chaos. i can almost see the grid pattern behind the tags and pipes sticking out. i like it.

Yeah, me too! I tried it with a longer lens, got a few nice shots off angle, but head on with the 28mm just got that overwhelming and slightly abstract look that I liked

haha, would you like me to pass the message on to Autofour that they should know their metals by feel? ;)

In my place Kev we have EN1A sitting next to EN8 , stainless next to EN16R, 5/8 next to 16mm 25 next to inch, 30 next to 1 1/4" and i can't find a bloody thing

@Davie Hudson that's just plain bad stockmanship, I like order and type and size is the way forward, ;) all this labelling is ott for me and puts me in mind of a 1950's back street Birmingham factory, makes for an interesting shot mind and I bet the poor fellow who is sent to get stuff spends most of the time reading labels. "Now" (Says the fitter to the Apprentice) "go to the stores for a long wait" (WEIGHT!) Oh those were the days, I remember fondly sending the new lad out...mind you I had been 'got' myself as a young Naive apprentice:rolleyes:
