I imagine this ones for Pete

a chap on AOS has asked me if i can find out how he might go about attaching his pentax K-x to his stereoscopic olympus microscope for taking photos of stylus ... any ideas?

Unless he has a trinocular microscope then he'll need an eyepiece adapter. Probably the best place to start would be Brunel Microscopes (http://www.brunelmicroscopes.co.uk/). You can however sometimes get an acceptable image to use just to assess the state of something like a stylus just by holding a camera against the eyepiece. I've managed this with a Nikon field stereo microscope and a Ricoh GR Digital - the image woiuldn't have won any prizes but served its purpose!
