Movinette, Kodak Baby Brownie, Instamatic And Impulse

More from late father-in-law's collection...

The Kodak Instamatic SX70 is still in a cupboard somewhere - we just couldn't find it last night, although I did find a film holder for it.

But we do have the Kodak Impulse...

A Kodak Baby Brownie...

Susan's Instamatic with her initials - aged 12, I believe...

And a Movinette, which I'm going to have to do some reading-up on...It's a Zeiss Ikon, so should be decent quality.

I believe the the Baby Brownie does indeed take 127 film, Rob. The Instamatic--if its the same as all other Kodaks by that name--will take 126 film.

You can still get 127 in some remote places I think. No one makes 126 anymore, though. However, if you have a 126 cassette I've heard that you can re-load it with 35mm film. Apparently 126 film and 35mm are the same size, but whereas 35mm has many many sprocket holes the 126 film has just one sprocket hole per frame.

---UPDATE---
I just checked Freestyle Photo Supply and they sell Rollei 127 film. (Its actually a red scale film they have in stock.) So, I'm sure it's available somewhere in UK Rob--or at least somewhere in the EU.

Yes, Pete, it could be fun. Need a projector, though. I thought there might be one alongside it, but maybe it is in the garage under a pile of boxes. Susan's mum is a bit of a hoarder, and as you might guess, is quite proprietorial...

@Brian Moore - Brian, I can get 127 film on ebay UK. Might do it once, for fun.

Nice haul Rob - that Movinette does look interesting

Rhona just took a couple of shots with the Kodak Impulse, using the Impossible film - looks fantastic! Scared to scan it in case it is still developing, but that was one hour ago. When will it be safe to scan it?

Nice Rob. Coincidentally I picked up some impossible film just yesterday for a Polaroid Spectra I've had for a while. Unfortunately the damn thing won't eject the dark slide. I'm in troubleshooting mode now.

Good luck, Brian. I'm impressed with this Impulse. Susan has a Polaroid SX-70 lost in a cupboard or garage - looking forward to locating it to see how much better the quality is. Ansel Adams rates them very highly in his book.
