helped my dad tear out the old bushes and plant some new bushes and trees yesterday and today. more than a bit sore now.. mom took the arduous task of placing some already planted mums on their front step and then going inside to make dinner.
brians right, it's a chrysanthemum, but most people around here have simple minds and call them mums for short. around here they're sold for mothers day and autumn.
hopefully things will calm down here and i can get back to the site full time again. just got hit by another big storm last night. we never get hit by anything and now 2 in two weeks? thankfully no major damage, but lots of down power lines and trees and a little bit of snow and ice in the north part of the state.
bright blue sunny skies and gorgeous clouds this afternoon which made everyone go a bit crazy. 3 fatal crashes since which left 4 dead just since noon. and then one of our guys was sideswiped in a hit and run while responding to one of those fatals. thankfully he wasn't hurt. it wasn't a fun day at work.
