Actually I was first attracted to the reflection of the sky, the buildings and the palm trees as I walked past this restaurant window and then I saw me in the background. It was a cool and blustery day and I think the image suggests it.

I should have shown more of the sky in the frame, but apparently I became transfixed by my own image. (Vanity,...thy name was apparently Brian at that moment!)

My friend Jim has a wonderful collection of old film cameras. He seldom--if ever--shoots with them. However, he insists I shoot with them as part of my photographic journey. This shot was taken with Jim's pristine Contax IIIa and Fuji Pro 400H film.

I don't recall the exposure settings but whatever they were they were dictated to me by the camera's built-in selenium cell meter, which still functions smartly, as if brand new.
