My new 50mm f/1.8

Ok, been reading a bit about Canon's (cheapo) EF 50mm f/1.8 MkII lens, so I took the plunge and found one (second hand) in boxed/mint condition for £52 including postage etc. think they sell new for around £89. They are quite plastic and cheap feeling to be honest, nearly throw away disposable etc....

Mr.Postman delivered it today (Fri), so not long outta bed from working a night shift, took a few quick-grab-shots a short time ago, here's a few images, seems fine;

I really love the expression on the dog's face and the light in the eye is wonderful. Can't see a problem with the lens

Yip happy ok, loving the vivid colours in the floral image personally.

Love the bokeh , pun intended I'm with you on the flowers.... love them.
It would take me a bit of practice with a lens like this to learn
how get the most out of such a shallow depth of field but, man,
I think this is going to be one of the best 80-90 bucks you've
ever spent.

Damn that's a fine purchase Peter - the colors in #1, the BOKEH/DOF in #2 - gorgeous.
