Neofin Blue

I recently ran out of Rodinal and couldn't find a replacement suplyuntil recently. In the meantime I have been trying Neofin Blue as a stop gap. It turns out to be quite a developer if not as flexible and economic as Rodinal.
It is quite low contrast and fine grained which allows some pretty heavy adjustments to sharpening and contrast in post. The first two shots are an example.
The second is on my Retina IIc but undertexposed slightly by mistake. It has highlighted the faces though.
The rest are all on the Kalloflex, full frame or cropped.

I was in the process of shooting a set of similar shots using the Voigtländer VITO CLR and the Retinette 1B when the Kodak stopped winding and upon extracting the roll I exposed it all. Now I need to pick up another roll of FP4+ to continue with my task.

I was pretty pleased by how nicely the HP5+ scans that I got back from the lab that were shot with the Rollei responded to minor tweaks to adjust the contrast.

Of your 2 and 3 above I naturally prefer the tweaked versions on the right. I like the tonal range in 6.

I have just never gotten around to Rodinal.

The comparison pairs are unadjusted on the eft and processed on the right to show how much adjustment is possible. I applied quite a bit of sharpening and boosted tones, far more than I would normally dare to do. The shot attached here is slightly cropped and actually shows grain in the plain tonal areas, so much that I couldn't push it as far as the others in sharpening or boosting contrast.

Probably my best ever developer. Used it back around 2005-2010 with Pan F+ and Adox CHS25. I never had 35mm look so good.
