Hi everyone, as promised a few photos for yous to see what I'm about.I do not specialise in one subject that's why I have letters after my name JOATMON (jack of all trades master of none). Not like in the early days when I shot landscapes with slide film most of the time when I went out on the fells in the Lake District or up Scotland in the winter, sadly my knees wont take a lot of hill walking and that's why I shoot anything that happens to be in my line of sight, if that be on the street or at events I really enjoy it. So here's a few images and hope you like them.

Thanks Mick

Great first contribution, Mick. All of them have interesting features, something to occupy the eye. The Goth Girl lingers in my mind, maybe because it to the only known evidence for a Goth girl smiling :D I like silhouette. Did you use some post production filter for the last shot, the Sunderland air show? And please tell me the second is a selfie? :D

Just in case you don't realise, you can choose full-sized display when creating your post, instead of thumbnails. But if you prefer thumbnails, that's fine too.

Cracking images, Mick! The silhouette and Mona Lisa Goth are very good but really like the Easter Island/Barmouth head, the bomber (Lancaster?) and the clouds above Newbiggin by the Sea. Really a great set.

Thanks Rob, yeah I must admit I shoot more goth girls than male goths there are some beautiful women young and old it's what my lens is attracted to.The Sunderland Air show shot was pp in nik analog efex all free from google, when I'm shooting events the likes of Sunderland and Pickering war weekend on this month I like to try and match the pp to the event.
Hey I could put the second shot in as my profile image it's better looking, I will use the full size on my next upload, by the way what is the max file size or best size for viewing.

Cheers Mick

I don't know what the maximum size is. I usually have 1400 for length. The forum limits that, but allows full viewing if the observer clicks on it.

The pick from an excellent set for me is the seascape and houses.
Mick I think the file size is limited at 1MB Mine always get rejected at 1MB anything under is not a problem. As for length as Rob says 1400 seems a good size, fitting well when enlarged on here. I do post often at 1600pix and had no complaints yet.

That is a great set of picures. I really like the seascape and the Lancaster pic has a real vintage look to it.

What a fabulous set, Mick. I like the way you have matched the treatments to the images; the silhouette works very well as doe the 'grunge' on the shot of the Lancaster. Love the texture and use of WA on the Barmouth head. The focus is just right on the portrait and I like the crop and the grain etc on the Newbiggin image is very nice.

All I can ad, as so many has said it already, is that the series of yours tempts me to "shoot" ( what a foul word:rolleyes: ), to try my hand more often in what some claim it to be here, "proper!"

Some great shots there, the Easter Island one especially.
