Nikkor 28mm F3.5 PC Lens (shift lens)

does anyone have experience of using this on a D700?

I know some photo-editing programs do enable lens corrections (eg Aperture 3), but I need to do an up¥¥grade of the mac os to achieve that, so getting the lens is an interesting halfway house. far as I recall it is open aperture metering only, is that right?

so view & compose, open up to F3.5, meter, stop down to whatever f, shoot? bit of a performance, but the PC-E nikkor is about four times as much money.

I have the f/4.0 version that is not recommended, but I have tested it and it works fine. In aperture priority mode, just stop down to whatever aperture you need, and the D700 will supply the necessary shutter speed for correct exposure.
