Im a happy boy with my new lens i can tell ya!

Looks great, I guessed correctly when this photo was posted on the AOS forum. :)

There is something nice about a new lens, makes you go all creative.

Very nice looking shot - I bet you're well chuffed with the super wideness :)

Not sure about your fireplace though - how well do dogs burn exactly? ;)

Ha, I like that.. Background warmth ... Very good!
I want to get a wood burner of some sort, but the guy who did the survey said it would likely be a big job reinstating the chimney for it's original use ... I belived him but felt some investigation wouldn't go a miss, so unscrewed the panel of ply that blocks what's above. Unfortunately above it there is a right mess! Whoever blocked it off did so with a load of rubble then squirted what looks like an entire can of expanding foam up there! It's disgusting what people felt appropriate to do to this house in it's 100 years... I spoke to my brother who is a property developer, he said he sees it all the time ... Madness!

Anyway, yeah, tw wide angle is ace! I already have a 17mm tamron sp, but it's a bit crap with digital, it has a habit of chucking loads of nasty purple flare into shots! No such problems here! And Blimey this thing is sharp! It also seems to give a good sence of depth to images, which I like! Happy days! I now feel confident I can do the interior and furniture based work I have over the summer! Vr is going to be very useful too I think, I read somewhere of a chap getting passabley sharp images at 1sec ... I'm not sure I believe him, but it's certainly interesting to here! This was shot at 25th no problems ... It should make the sort of thing I want it for pretty easy really!
