Critique Welcomed Ocean Beach (ob) - San Diego

West Coast Correspondent
The warm weather is still holding here on the West Coast, so I took a trip down to OB today, to shoot a little street with the new Fuji 23mm lens and the X-Pro1.

Man...I mean Dude ;)...you are good. Many beach photos could be from anywhere but this set just screams San Diego. Love the colors...comp...it all. Well done.

But...Why did the COW cross the street?

Great stuff, Chris, and I do like that lens a lot. The beach acrobats remind of the work of the Australian photographer, George Caddy - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Caddy - there was a programme on TV last night, BBC4, I think, about Australian art. It was a fascinating programme. Anyway, they featured Caddy's work - lots of beach acrobats. Worth looking up.

Wonderful set Chris. The colors in the first one are amazing,...and if you didn't know that was a blue sky you'd think it was just a painted backdrop or something. Fantastic shot!

What a fantastic set Chris. The second is as near to perfection as I could imagine. Stunning. :)
Thanks Pete - #2 was a stake out - saw the store front, picked my spot, then waited for people to walk by.

I snapped 5 or 6 people before catching the guy looking back around :)

Thanks Glenn - Why did the COW cross the street? To get to the udder side of course! :D

Thanks Rob - great find, hadn't seen Caddy's work before but it gives me a few ideas.

I gave the gymnasts my card so that I could stay in touch, and they emailed last night for some photos - I might see if we can get together again for another shoot and try a few more :)

Thanks Brian - such a wonderful blue sky yesterday, and the orange under the building overhang just glowed with light bouncing off the sidewalk

I did have to clean up some bird-poop in PS to keep the clean look though! :D

Chris, your images are a real inspiration... thank you.

I want to drink in your knowledge and experience. :)
Thanks Dave - happy to share what ever I can, and keep learning from everyone here

Just added a couple more to the set

Traveling Band
- snapped into the sun crossing the main street

And Pumpkin - spotted in a rather eclectic store
