Okay, a slight issue here

Dan Cattermole

Dan Down - The Steampunk Womble
With My latest purchase got (trip 35) I decided to dismantle, repair, and get the thing up and running.

The issue I have is that I've not realised I've not done the screws tight enough for the focus ring in which it has remained on infinity focusing (or there abouts )
Consequentially resulting in ALL images on 'mountain mode' or infnity when I recieved the images back today. :(
not happy.
However, as it is still not working properly and after a roll of film I know what to do now, I 'should' be able to operate the thing with the 'problems' baring in mind......
Anyway, here are some of the resluts straight from the film.

Thanks for looking :)

However, although I don't know what film you're using, Dan, it's plain that the camera/film combo is doing a fine job of metering and stopping action in what appears to be a photographically dim environment. Very cool!

Thanks Brian, the film was Kodak gold 200. I must admitt, I'm liking the finish of it.
I suppose the one bonus is that all is working fine in regards to the metering/exposure as you say Brian.
Just need to nail this focusing issue.... On which should be a doddle. :)

A shame Dan, but I suppose part of the fun of messing with previously broken cameras.
As Brian says, it has definitely captured the light in the room well!

Ha! That's always a bonus Pete. Lol.
Would of be a cracker if my daughter and niece were in focus.
I suppose it takes a roll of film to find out how a faulty camera operates. In which this case, I've found out! :)
I've sorted the focus issue out up till the hours of 2.am this morning. Not only were the screws not tight enough to stop the focus shaft from sliding back and forth, there's also a pin/arm on the shaft connected to the focus lens (via the screws) that sits in a 'pocket' so that when you focus/range find, it should move the lens accordingly.... In this case, it came out resulting in the focus staying on infinity and me thinking I was in the ball with it all!! Lol.

Such a shame, because I would of entered the jazz dancing princesses as part of my entry.
As soon as I took that shot, at the time I silently cheered to myself thinking 'wow! I've got the shot'.

.....But then the roll came back :(

Take two.... Poundland Agfa film loaded.

Ha! That's always a bonus Pete. Lol.
Would of be a cracker if my daughter and niece were in focus.

Not having ready bit about the fixing of camera I thought ye meant that effect of focusing on the double bass and thought it worked pretty well [doh]
