Great shots of some of our past Athletes............ Personally I'm not a big fan of too much "post production" Dave. So I really like these.

TA :)

PP is basically just a clarity boost in Lightroom for a bit of "punch"

They've got a lovely natural look to them all.

i agree with already what's been said, great set of shots of real people, rather than airbrushed people you see every where these days

Have you noticed the difference between clarity in lr3 and 4?
I've not made a direct comparison, but it seems different, seems to effect exposure more somehow ...

Definitely - it's much stronger for a start - and doesn't bring back recovered highlights a bit like it did in LR3.

It seems to bring back info seemingly lost in shadow though ... not sure if that's good or bad really
Ah well, no matter, it seems to be a bit better... Haloing isnt as obvious as soon as it used to be so that's a good thing
It's all part of the curve of getting used to new software I suppose! And I do prefer the "highlights", "shadows" , "whites" and "blacks" to the previous set up, seems more intuitive somehow and more effective ... And to top it off seems to work better with jpegs, most importantly Jpeg scans ...

Good eye contact and a strong connection with all of them.

Having them all adopt the arms-crossed pose makes for a great themed set

The end result - currently being installed on Millgate in Wigan.

The photos have been tonemapped (oooh errrr!) and enlarge a bit :)
