OMG - Canon go all 'trendy'

Ooo I like the red one ... Is that bad?
What's with all this "OMG" and "OMFG" stuff ... Are you lot actually 13 and female? ;)

OMG was a vain attempt at being 'trendy' FWIW LMAO! WIGTTFOOS!!

Yes, it's bad that you like the red one!!

I could actually live with the brown one - seeing as many of the vintage cameras have a browny look to them, I'm quite partial.

I blame Pentax and their Lego coloured cameras from a year or two ago

Yuk don't like any of them, mind you I only like black cameras, not idea why but im the same with mobile phones lol

I can't even bring my self to type lol in a sentence ... I really like the smiley faces though :) would you belive, CBBC there was an advert recently for a tv program that said "watch so-and-so up next for loads of lols" ... I mean honestly, is it really nessasary to bring this shite into spoken language?! I have enough trouble remembering how to spell the words we have already ... ;)
"Kool Katz" and that sort of thing winds me up too ... It just makes the world a more difficult place for people like me who find spelling things a chore!

I LIKE RED!

I'm surprised they haven't done a white one to go with the L tele' lenses...
BTW;), I quite like the Metallic Grey one:D.

Now there will be a million threads on forums like DPP about which color makes the better camera. Oh brother!

Interestingly, the coloured cameras are only being offered online at the moment - so not sure if this is a tester promo, or what?

I'm sure the red camera will provide warmer tones for sunset shots, in the same way that using Fuji memory cards gives stronger greens and blues to RAW files ;)

I think its a great idea to have colours, why just make boring black / Dark cameras.....they are boring.........!! lol

Bring on The Colours Is What I Say...........lol

I saw a woman with a silver coloured Canon 450D a few weeks ago but I don't know where she got it.

i have never seen a silver cam in the shops......but you notice a few silver canons when out & about.

Do people actually say that?? Or are you just messing about...

There used to be a lot more silver dslrs about the place ... They dont age well really as the plastic is always just black underneath ... silver wearing through to black plastic is not quite the same as the old Leica's that wear down to the brass colour

I'm just using the same logic that people apply to expensive (and bogus) items to improve the sound of their hifi.

i.e. changing the cat5 cable from my computer streaming audio for a cat6 increased the bass and widened the stereo image...

I got the link, but wasn't sure if you were making it ... I have, in the past had people coming into the shop asking about different memory cards image quality, it's not to far a jump to think that people might actually belive it...

It's encouraging to see that photography hasn't disappeared down the same wormhole as HiFi at this point - HiFi has it's own island of BS and FUD, and expensive products that rely on both.

Maybe because visual changes are easy to spot, but audio changes are purely subjective - So getting better dynamic range in an image would be immediately obvious, where as putting your speaker cable on spikes to get a tighter bass might be impossible to actually quantify - probably because is purely a psychological effect...
