On Frozen Pond

I'd wanted to drive a few miles to a large lake where a few trees stand on a little island, but I really didn't think I could make it. Then I remembered the little pond just over the hill from where we live. I've never seen it like this before and it was just what I wanted. I could have done with more falling snow, but never mind...

But there are still a few flakes visible to add to what is already a lovely composition. Again, I like the contrast between the snow and the warmer colours of the bark.
