Best Of The Bunch

The shot of the gallery and duster is super Darren. Great colours and simple lines - very nicely observed. The one taken through the window of the bar / restaurant is also very nice. Looks like a scene from a film (James Bond by the look of it!). And the figure on the seat with the 'Coke' can could have come from a magazine article on street life I reckon - very 'stock'. Same with the policeman, nice movement.

I like that one of the guy in the window. I want to know who he's with. Of course, he appears to be alone. Still,...there's a loit of interest in that picture I think. I like Coke Can Man too, but I feel like I want to know what has been cropped out of the right side of the photo. What's he looking toward? All the same, very nice set, Darren.

Thanks for your comments, hes looking towards piccadilly gardens a small grassy area in the middle of Manchester with water fountains, lots of seating areas, coffee shops, bars, bus station, Metro station and many people rushing around maybe on there way home or off out for the evening. Many homeless people can also be found around this area.

I'm going to have to go out with mine and try it over the weekend Great shots Darren really love the one of him sitting in a window

go for it, you know it makes sense............!!:):p

Very "reportage", those shots, Darren. I love the guy slumped on the park bench and the one of the guy seen through the window of the restaurant, especially.

Has to be the last one for me dude, It draws me in.
It's bloody fantastic! :)

Love the shot of the "Po" mate ...
Some great shots here matey
I worked for cafe nero for three weeks a good few years ago now... but left because i hated it!

I quite like #2, #5 (bar window) and #8 (last), pretty amazing clarity and sharpness for pictures taken at night at that focual range without a tripod!

Thanks Jim. F2.8 & ISO 400 & IS all helped. To be honest i wasn't expecting them to be much good seeing they were hand held. I was pleasantly surprised when i got back.

Going out & about Liverpool Tuesday day & night WITH tripod........i am looking forward to it :-)

:p ;) No my heavy Manafrotto tripod is for self defence it is Liverpool after all...............hehe

No on a serious note, some street photography and general after dark photos around the city hence tripod.

I like the B&W ones the best - the Nero one is nice and crisp

The copper looks great - I love the shadow of him on the pavement, and as Pete mentioned, the movement ion the foot as he approaches the youths.

If you cropped the guy on the left out completely (at his arm) - you get the Rozzer focussed only on the group of youths on the right - and that generates a nice bit of tension.
