'Paths Prints and Tracks'........................after the floods the mud that is left leaves more than a mess........every picture tells a story, every footprint belongs to someone, everyone has a story.....

Interesting shot, Kev. If you hadn't mentioned footprints I think it would have taken me a while to figure that out. I like it.

Same here - they do give it scale though - very cool abstract comp Kev

Thanks each, Hamish will know the location very well, orientation is much down to trying not to capture the bridge handrails as I'm stood on the walkway leading down to Diglis (Hamish, DD et al) but for me this gave the natural in camera crop I was looking for...I really wish I had had more time to spend there, the theme seemed endless....

Thanks again all :)

Very interesting shot Kev, the orientation is fab, and the crop is spot on too!
I went on a 30 mile bike ride around Worcester and rode through a lot of this gunk. My bike is most certainly due a scrub down.
Working in the waste water industry for many years teaches you a few lessons or two. Not only be it silty residue left behind from the strong current of the river, but also be it sewerage that takes people by an unpleasant surprise.

We had Hylton road closed for almost 2 weeks because we/STW were permitted to pump untreated sewerage at a rate of 200 letres per second (3 over pumps) into the river Severn in order to protect the businesses from flooding..... And guess where downstream of that set up was Kev..... Diglis!! Wash ya boots :)

Should see the state of the discharge point now! The full extent can be seen from Sabrina bridge.

The pumps had to be manned 24/7, unfortunately I had a daunting shift on there.
But when this all kicked off and the road did flood, we saw in the very distance what looked like a lady holding on to a lead and letting her dog splash around in the flood. However, on closer approach to promptly warn the lady of the dangers, turned out to be 2 female teenagers, one recording her friend role around in ****

I have NEVER seen anyone get up so fast when I told her what it was!!!

I urge anyone with children (including themselves) to think twice about playing in flood waters, not only are they dangerous for the most obvious reasons, but also due to contamination and diseases, such as Weils and Hepatitis, I can reel off a list as long as my arm of the dangers, however, I won't. That should be enough. :)
