Pete Askews' Wide search

It was Dan Cattermole, and he is looking for an olympus fit rectilinear wide angle lens that is wider than 14mm...
an impossible task without spending the required ££££ :)
Ive been telling him he should just switch to canikon for a while now so he can get a siggy 10-20 ... but he wont listen because his oly has too much "soul" ;)

I have the Sigma 15-30.. Bloody lunker, crazy hood contraption, loadsa flare, crazy vignette at 15 - 20mm, (used it on the 40D and the crop factor took care of vignette but with the 5d it's not good) nigh on impossible to attach filters but when none of the above matters it produces well.

Thank you for bearing me in mind Peter :)
I'll have a closer look through the site tonight, but first impression looks quite good.

I think I might eventually have to bite the bullet, pre arrange a meeting with a debt management agency, and continue surfing my 'soul board' by satisfying my wide angle desire...... Eventually!!! :D

MC Zenitar-M 2,8/16 Fisheye for Canon EOS is a compact short-focus, super wide-angle lens that allows to make original pictures with angular field of view up to 180 degrees. It is ideal for architecture, landscape, and group pictures. It is suitable for making pictures with both black-and-white, and on a colour films. A high image quality, big luminosity, the ability to transfer small object's details allow to make amateur or special pictures of various types such as reproduction, macro and micro modes photography. Clarifying multi-layer coated lens increases transmission and reduces light scattering that provides especially profitable contrast and sharpness of the image, substantially eliminates halation and glares even while photographing in the back-light mode with the big difference of brightness of the object and background.

What a load of old toss!
