Piddle Ford Footbridge and Nature

Piddle Brook runs quite close to where I live and it often floods quite dramatically for a small brook. Over the Ford is a footbridge which has seen better days and certainly isn't of a rural style. More Thomas Telford than anything, perhaps this reflects the levels the ford reaches at peak floods...

Below are a few shots of the footbridge and around..oh and there's even one in colour :D

Like these allot mate. Is that the one along road from you Kev?

If so I was gonna go down but decided against and if it is im stupid for not following my instincts :D:D

Nice set, Kev. I especially like #1; the composition with that big tree just on the other side of the bridge is very good in my opinion. Also like #4 a lot; the muted colors of the bridge, the hedges and the sky are wonderful.

I really like that first one Kev - the low angle of view, trees against the sky, nice reflection in the water

The road down to the ford really leads the eye nicely - you're really on fire at the moment Kev - you been on the RedBull? ;)

Thanks Chris and Pete, as for being on fire.not sure about that but seem to be comfortable with things here ATM.

Thanks for the comments, I'm trying to put together some local stuff for a couple of local outlets that have shown some interest hence the repeated style..:D

Eh up Pete, he's going all commercial on us ;)

Nice one Kev - these going on display or do you get a chance to sell 'em?

:D been asked by a local Hotel to run some photog weekends for beginners and to display in the restaurant and another local pub are keen to involve, early days but as I said trying to put enough together to get started..

Kev,
I like that last shots of the downed tree with née branches. Those new branches seem pretty thick and provides some evidence as to how long this tree might have been down. Image has good contrast and depth of field. I like the curving lines in the comp too!
