Poppies Again

Lost gardens, these poppies wont be here for much longer, I hope they keep the ripening seed pods and don't trim them back, to soon.

Thank you Pete. I liked the first a lot when it came to processing , it was one of those images that just fell into place with very little input. It happens from time to time. The second for myself makes it in a painterly way for me rather than photographically , although since posting I aught to have dealt with the seed pod slightly better.

Lovely work Julian. The B/W shot is my favourite here and is excellent in every area.. I enjoy the softness all round and the focus (not too sharp) is excellent. Interesting seeing the piece of rock top left corner, but it is not a distraction.
Love the colouring in the second shot but I feel the sharpness of the poppy is very strong and in a way lacks the subtlety of the mono shot.
