the guy throwing the punch is looking for a print and I said why not have have a butchers in BW?

this was a tri-x emulation, which is pretty authentic for the subject ;)
 
Tough call - I love B&W boxing shots - has a classic feel

But the red and blue pop so well - and the red ring rope stands out so nicely - I'm voting for color :)

Looks like you had decent ringside access Peter?
 
I like both but if the highlights in the background were gone then that would probably sell the b&w verion to me

it was an Executive Fight Night event. bankers bashing each others' brains out. all for charridy. I was providing the ringside shots plus a photobooth. shot on a 14mm, 85mm (this one), and my 400mm.

I think it is surprisingly successful in B/W especially against that black background. The only sacrifice seems to be the ropes. But it also makes it look as though the boxers have totally different skin colour; this is not as strong in the colour version.
So. I would swing towards the colour..
