Managed to find some at a store that sells 'foreign foods' (Cost Plus World Markets)

Not a big seller in the US - nor is Christmas cake apparently.

Oh well, more for me then! :D

I likes a bit of Chrimbo Tart meself Chris but I have had to make do with a bit of a mince around the front room, so do they have Chrisrmas Pud over there or are they totally lost?

what is it? not sure i'd be convinced to give up cinnamon pie for that... ;)
Mince Pies Beth - for some reason everyone in the US thinks that it's gross because in has the word 'mince' in the name

It has a lot of candied fruit with cinnamon and spices in it - very festive

I'm ok with the rest of the (US) family not liking them, I end up getting them all left for me! :D

I can see you mincing about Kev! :D

Christmas pud is an unknown for most US folk I think - again, no chance of finding one in a supermarket here - you have to go 'underground' find a dealer ;)

For Beth - here's a Christmas Pud (Not mine)

That white sauce is a Brandy butter - which is as good as it sounds - Brandy, butter, and sugar - what's not to like!

We make mince pies (the large variety) every year. There is a small, but loyal fan base here in the US, although I think the popularity is falling off - it is getting harder to find the mincemeat in the local groceries. Everyone used to have Cross & Blackwell mincemeat every year before Christmas, but not so much anymore. I believe it is a little more common here in the South as opposed to other areas of the country.

I also love it as topping on vanilla ice cream :D
