Remembrance Day 2011

It is truly a beautiful place to be.............I remember being in there at three in the morning once.....don't ask I won't tell that was a real experience............

Dan, really like that first one - lovely movement in the choir, and fabulous lighting in the Cathedral.

Also like the close-up of the crosses with poppies - nice repetitive theme in the image, with DOF softening the effect

I attended the main parades in Manchester city centre, the turn out was awesome, there must have been 1000s in the parade and even more of the public turned out to watch. This however did make it hard to get photos, I will upload my favourites from the day here gradually over the next few days

(more coming soon)

Thanks Dan i sure did, its my favourite lens of all time, i just cant take it off my canon i like it sooooo much haha

It's most certainly delivered some very sharp detailed shots. I'm impressed!
The closest tele lens with a 2.8 apature is the Olympus zuiko 300mm 2.8.... Going for a not so affordable cost of 5k......
Oh well, lol

Bloody hell, i guess its staying in the shop then.........haha.

My 70-200mm is one of canon's pro L len's, it was a bit ££££ but not 5k thank god. Its that fast big aperture that floats my boat. Best decision i ever made.

Fair play dude. I'm Looking into a fisheye for the Oly or something with some extreme wide angle. Your like big, me like wide. :D :D

LMAO......nice one, then you can get even more creative no doubt.......... widest i have is the sigma 10-20 that does a reasonable job, well enough for me anyhow

Darren - excellent shots - the faces tell the story - very compelling

That lens is something isn't it - sharp as a tack, with lovely bokeh

You must have some muscles after shooting with it so much :D

Cheers Chris, tell you what its real heavy, dont need to go to Gym when you use this lens as often as i do......hehe
