Ships Cat

I took this a while ago and done nothing with it as I didn't initially see it as anything special. However, over the following months I keep coming across it and thinking there is something about it but I cant place it. I think it is the almost human expression on the cats face and the sense that something is about to happen but what?

Nice, Paul. I've often had the same experience: a picture doesn't seem to do anything for you at first but over time you come back to it. It works its way into you.

The white and red here pop out very nicely against the river and the trees and also I like the OOF background. The cat is in what I would say is the best location with the dark background behind him. I think he is expecting you to ask permission to take the fotie. Did you? ;)

Thanks guys and glad to know it is not just me. Brian, before I raised the camera I said to the cat "Meeeowww" with an expectant expression on my face. I was expecting the cat to say "go right ahead mate" which to us humans sounds like "moeew". Instead it just looked at me oddly as if to say you're a bloody idiot.

Beth, before motor transport was widespread goods were transported across the UK by a network of waterways called canals. Long boats loaded with goods were towed by a horse that would walk along a path that run along the side of the canal. Believe it or not it is actually the 21th century here in the UK too and nowadays the boats have been converted to homes that some people live in all year round. You can even hire one for a holiday and travel about the country in it.

I think the disconcerting thing for me is that it is otherwise a pleasant scene but the sense of an unknown thing is about to happen makes me feel a little uneasy.

The cat is projecting thoughts through the photo - it's say 'bring me some food' :D
