Those who know me best know im struggling with what Kev calls "PhotogBlock" ie ... inspiration is low!
Work is also high as is home life ... so it was nice to have a bit of time to take some shots wondering around inside Gloucester Cathedral before I had to go to work taking photos of the Choral Society.

Here is the one shot i am sort of happy with

And before you suggest black and white ... yes, it does work, i just cant cope with black and white photography at the moment!

Does anyone ever feel like photography is slowly driving them mad???

Bonnie fotie Hamie!

I like it in color for what Lesley calls the " lovely creamy tones." I also like it for what Rob refers to as strong lines and questions. My first thoughts were like Rob's I think. To me the strong lines of the stonework speak to longevity and even permanence, whereas the OOF silhouette suggests the fleeting nature of life. It's very heavy stuff you're capturing Hamish!

Its not the photography that drives me mad, its the lack of enough time and money to do everything I want with it that gets me.

My list of things to try and ideas to photograph has been getting steadily longer, especially since I started with RPF...
Too many people producing too many wonderful images...I can't keep up!!! :)

Very nice indeed Hamish and I agree with all of the above about the tones etc. I also like what Brian reads into it ad certainly the dynamism of the OOF figure adds to that sense of a fleeting moment. I like these sort of highly out of focus figures. Ina and I were playing with something related to this some time back but never got to where we wanted. Must revisit it.

Liking the shot as it is Hamish,
I know the feeling with black and white, it's tiring me out at the moment. And I admittedly I'm on a severe photogBlock at the moment. I'm getting a Samyang 8mm fisheye for my Oly in the next couple of weeks, so hopefully that should encourage my PhotogBlock to fek orf!! :)

cracking shot Hamish - great idea

Cheers all!!
Brilliant Brian!

Im glad I'm not the only one who feels loopy sometimes!

Its suppose to be respite from work for me too Lesley ... But, well there is a sort of fairly big flaw in that or me ;)

That's my problem too Adrian!!

Oof figures ... Yeah, I like the way they shape gets so distorted and becomes sort of spooky ... I love it in film too!
