Hwy 89A heads to the horizon, where the Mingus Mountains rise up to 7000 ft.

The heat of the day drives the moisture laden air into thunderheads - the rain is not far behind.

talk about depth.. i think some of those rain clouds popped out of the photo and are floating around the room. great comp., love the road heading to the mountains.

Thanks everyone - it was very 3D in real life, with the low storm cloud really bubbling up and dominating the skyline - my poor wife had to suffer me stopping the car (again) and leaping out to take pictures
