Street - Dracula, Child and Church

I honestly think there is something wrong with me. I had three days in Yorkshire last October to try my hand at landscapes and with a couple of hours in Whitby, I was back doing street photography again.

I believe the inspiration for Dracula came from the ruined abbey at the top of the hill. Well, I was too worn out to make the nearly 200 steps, but there is a Dracula shop by the harbour. Unfortunately it doesn't reflect the abbey, but St Mary's church that stands a little closer to the cliff edge. When an unsuspecting child moved into the frame, what else was I to do? :D

I love whitby, went there for a scooter rally and blew my gearbox on the massive hill on the way out :(

Classic - lovely use of the locals again, and I like the way you've brought out the reflection in the window which gives it context.

"blew my gearbox" - is that code for something? :D

Loved it before and still do ! The deep tones are what I think
anyone who does B&W should strive for. That and the composition
make this one if my favorites.
Really really well done.

Hi Zooey :)
I was very lucky. They brought in a young student to judge the
competition. He was majoring in pottery and not sure he knew
a great deal about photography.
I got a 2nd place and a honorable mention in color prints and a
2nd place in B&W prints.
BUT !! This thread should be about your eye and edit above.
